Kiri (Book 1)
A Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection
Meet Kiri, an exuberant kid with a love for adventure!
Whether it’s exploring her own backyard or creating the coziest pillow fort, Kiri finds everyday wonder at every turn. In these three bite-size stories, Kiri goes bird-watching with her dad (and isn’t distracted by the bugs...even when they’re really cool), grows her very own butterflies, and brings the world’s best camping trip to her living room.
A sweet and hilarious slice-of-life graphic novel perfect for emerging readers.

A Personal Note
Kiri began as the protagonist of a picture book I was developing about a plucky little artist. I set that project aside but she stayed with me and took on a life of her own.
I started writing comic strips about her, which quickly found an audience online. I think people connected with her for the same reasons I did: She's joyful and optimistic, but also opinionated and strong-willed. Even though she's a little kid, she's not one to be trifled with!
I love writing these stories and hope that Kiri’s bright outlook, zest for life, and love of nature inspire young readers.
